Remember the 2019 Davis P. Rice Youth Waterfowl Hunt

2019 Davis P. Rice Youth Waterfowl Hunt
Hello Coaches, Athletes, and Parents,

Do not forget the 11th annual Memorial Davis P. Rice Youth Waterfowl Hunt in northwest Tennessee is on February 1st and 2nd. We will be selecting  youth to attend this hunt in just 3 days on January 3rd.

As always, this is a great opportunity for youth ages 9 through 16 to experience some world-class duck hunting in West Tennessee.

This year there has been a few changes. First, athletes that are 16 years old can now participate in the hunt, because of changes in the hunting regulations. Second, registration for the upcoming SCTP season is not required this year.

The only requirements athletes must meet to be eligible for the hunt is to have filled out the interest survey (link below), completed the Tennessee hunter education course, and have a valid Tennessee hunting license if they are age 13 or higher.

This year the price is $45. This includes hunting on February 2nd and the meal for the athlete at the banquet on February 1st at the Lannom Center in Dyersburg, Tenn. Additional meal tickets will be available for purchase for $15.

To show interest in the event and become eligible for the hunt, fill out the interest survey here.

Selections will be made on January 3rd, so be sure to watch your email.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact anyone on the Federation team.

Thank you,

Tennessee Wildlife Federation team
