We have had some great responses to our initial statewide recruiting day email, but we are still needing more! We would like to have 20 locations holding events. So far we have 15 responses for 10 locations. I know there are more of you out there.
Here are the details:
On September 28, Tennessee Scholastic Clay Target Program is hosting a statewide recruiting day. This day is to help your team and the program as a whole.
We'll be promoting the recruiting day in the news, online, and through partner organizations (e.g. 4-H and TWRA). And we want to send new, talented athletes to you!
But we need your help to organize places for recruits to go and try out the sport.
We're looking for volunteers to host a recruitment site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (local time) to help potential athletes break a few targets and become familiar with the program.
Locations are encouraged to have volunteers who can talk about the benefits of the program, work with potential athletes to learn about the program and sport, and possibly provide hamburgers or hot dogs.
In addition to promoting the event, Tennessee SCTP will help each location with ammo, funds, and promotional material to make the day successful.
If you're interested in spreading the word about Tennessee SCTP and recruiting excited, new athletes, please complete this form. If there are multiple teams that practice at a location, partner with other teams to spread the load at each location.
Tennessee Scholastic Clay Target Program is a program of Tennessee Wildlife Federation. Founded in 1946, the Federation is one of the oldest and largest conservation nonprofits in Tennessee that champions our land, waters, and great outdoors.
